On Friday in Qatar, the second edition of the Under-17 Gulf Cup begins, featuring 10 national teams and lasting for three weeks from October 16 to November 4, 2026. This is the largest number of teams in the tournament's history. The teams will compete across 23 matches, divided into two groups of five teams each. The opening matches include Qatar versus China and the UAE versus Bahrain. The defending champions, Saudi Arabia, will start their campaign against Egypt. The tournament will conclude with a final match on November 4. If the semi-final or final matches end in a draw, penalty kicks will be used immediately to determine the winner.
