Flick's Choice: Hamza Abdul Karim's Absence from Barcelona First Team

Barcelona coach Julían Flijk has excluded Egyptian forward Hamza Abdel Karim from the first team and given him the chance to train with Barcelona B. This decision comes after the 18-year-old player only participated for 12 minutes with the first team, amid the club’s desire to offer him more playing time and to focus on his development through training with the reserve team. The decision aligns with the player’s own wishes, as he prefers to participate in matches rather than stay with the first team, especially given the availability of other attacking options such as Raphinha and Gabriel Jesus. Hamza is expected to have more opportunities during the Copa del Rey matches, and the option to recall him remains open depending on the team’s needs and players’ performances.
