Mourinho Advises Vinícius to Seek Better Stadiums

Real Madrid coach José Mourinho clarified in a press conference that Vinicius Junior, the team's winger, was set to leave the club this summer if he were in his place, because he desires to play in a league and country that respect and value him more. Although Mourinho acknowledged the difficulty Vinicius has had in maintaining his smile due to the racist targeted attacks and aggression he has faced since joining the club in 2018, he emphasized that the player still loves Real Madrid and believes the situation will improve. Vinicius was sent off during a match against Villarreal and will miss the El Clásico against Barcelona. His suspension was limited to four games, a decision Mourinho welcomed, expressing his disappointment with the interference of certain figures in the Spanish disciplinary committee. Mourinho also discussed the upcoming match against Sevilla, pointing out that the team's results have been affected by some refereeing decisions, and he called for the resignation of the head of the Spanish League association.
