Spanish star Ander Herrera has decided to donate his entire salary to his former club, Racing de Santander, which is currently playing in the Spanish third division. Although he has only appeared in three matches this season, Herrera chose to convert his contract, which offers an annual salary of 25,000 euros, into supporting the club's charitable activities, without any financial compensation. Herrera explained that his motivation comes from his love for the club that helped him become a professional, and his desire to offer support during difficult times, as the club is going through its worst period. The player, who has announced that he no longer needs the money after a successful career, aims to play for free to feel proud and to give back to the city where he grew up before his anticipated retirement soon.
