Egyptian national team coach Hossam Hassan is currently following the young midfielder and forward Younes Ibrahim, who has recently been promoted to Brighton's first team. Younes has showcased impressive performances in his recent appearances, which could earn him a spot in the November training camp. Born in Australia and of Egyptian, Moroccan, English, and Australian descent, Younes is eligible to play for four different national teams. The Egyptian Football Association is taking steps to secure its approval for his inclusion. Hossam Hassan plans to invite him after the legal procedures are completed, building on previous successful experiences, such as his case with Haitham Hassan. He also announced that the door is open to all players to participate in the upcoming camp, especially after the coach managed to resolve previous crises faced by the national team. Egypt currently tops its group in the qualifying rounds for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
