Hail Camel Auction Begins Thursday

The 17th Camel Auction is launching in Hail, led by the Trahil Tourism Cooperative Society under the supervision of the regional emirate. The event will last for ten days. Its aim is to strengthen the Arab heritage linked to camels, support productive families, and offer a variety of activities, including exhibitions related to the environment, agriculture, antiquities, and crafts, as well as displays of camels and falcons, and a village of games. The event will showcase more than 4,000 camels across over 130 locations. The auction also includes entertainment activities such as showcasing "Hashy" (young camel) and "Jumariya" (roasted camel meat). It is considered one of the most important events for preserving heritage and promoting the presence of camels in Saudi culture.
