WhatsApp Update Introduces New iPhone Design
WhatsApp has launched a new design for the video player called Liquid Glass, aimed at enhancing visual appearance and consistency with the iOS 26 system design on Apple devices. The update features a transparent glass-style progress bar that changes its appearance between light and dark modes, along with an updated control bar to match the new design. The goal of this update is to unify the app's interface across various Apple devices such as iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It is being gradually rolled out to beta users via TestFlight, with no announced date for general release yet. The main focus of this update is to improve visual aspects, removing the last elements still using old designs, bringing the app closer to a full adoption of the Liquid Glass design language.
