Eritrea Claims Ethiopia Planning Invasion

Eritrea accuses Ethiopia of declaring an aggressive war against it by planning to invade its territories in order to forcibly seize a port access to the sea. Eritrea acknowledges that Ethiopia views this as a serious military escalation, threatening regional peace and endangering the stability of the area. Eritrea has called on the UN Security Council to assume its responsibilities and strongly condemn Ethiopia, while also urging the adoption of deterrent measures in accordance with Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter. This comes amid escalating tensions and military buildups between the two countries since Ethiopia accused Eritrea of supporting armed forces in Tigray.
