Google updates Gymnasium with renamed features

Google has announced that it is restructuring its smart assistant tools in Gemini to make it easier to access its functions and expand its capabilities for handling daily tasks. The changes include integrating its Spark agent under the name "Task" with a new interface that provides a straightforward way to complete tasks by categorizing them based on their status, reducing the need to re-enter instructions, thereby enhancing efficiency. The updates also introduce "Skills," which are reusable instructions for performing repeated activities such as setting up presentations or writing texts. These changes are beginning to reach Gemini users on Android, with a plan for a gradual transition from Gemini tools to Skills by mid-2027. Through these adjustments, Google aims to transform Gemini into a platform that combines conversation with task execution to improve workflows and increase AI integration into everyday tasks.
