Start of Tunisia sugar industry study

Fieldwork has begun in Tunisia to conduct a comprehensive strategic study aimed at reforming the sugar sector. The goal is to restructure the industry and ensure the sustainability of supplies and strategic stockpiles in the face of global economic challenges, including rising prices of essential commodities and increased supply costs. Teams of experts from the Tunisian Institute for Competitiveness and Quantitative Studies are preparing the study, in collaboration with representatives from the Ministries of Commerce, Industry, and Energy. The objective is to develop actionable recommendations for the medium and long term. The methodology has been defined, and a governance framework has been established to ensure the project's success, including the formation of a steering committee and a technical committee to monitor progress and evaluate results.
