WTO Expert Highlights Tunisia's Economic Progress

Tunisia has made significant progress in transparency of its economy and in strengthening its engagement in the international trade system, according to a World Trade Organization expert. He explained that Tunisia has intensified its efforts since revising its trade policy in 2016, submitting over 50 notifications to the organization, and has ratified the 2020 Trade Facilitation Agreement as well as the African Continental Free Trade Area Agreement. Additionally, the country participated for the first time in dispute settlement procedures, despite ongoing challenges.
