FAO trains Tunisian soil experts

FAO launched a training program for 60 Tunisian technicians in soil analysis and land management, aimed at developing sustainable land use practices and preserving agricultural lands. This initiative, funded by the Japanese government and implemented in cooperation with the Tunisian Ministry of Agriculture, helps standardize analysis methods and produce reliable data to support agricultural sustainability and national food security. The program will continue until the end of October 2026. It has also contributed to enhancing the skills of the technicians and conducting over a thousand soil analyses to improve the national land fertility database.
