Tunisia Advances in Electric Vehicle Market

Tunisia aims to transform its position in the automotive industry from merely a supplier of European components to a regional hub for innovation in electric vehicles and smart mobility. Its plans include developing an industrial and technological base that encompasses electric vehicle components, engineering, software, and research and development, along with the "Smart Car City" project spanning 200 hectares to facilitate research and manufacturing. Additionally, the country is working to boost its exports, which reached €3.9 billion in 2025, with expectations to rise to approximately €4.2 billion in 2026.
