Five years ago, a project was implemented to build a primary health center in the Boujreir area of Bizerte Governorate, with the aim of reducing residents' hardship of traveling 22 kilometers to access healthcare at the district center. Despite its cost of 350,000 dinars and its inauguration, the center remains closed due to a lack of necessary equipment and human resources to operate it, even though the Ministry of Health promised to start services back in 2017. Recently, a meeting was held with the participation of local officials and healthcare personnel, during which it was announced that the center is close to becoming operational and will be equipped accordingly. Additionally, there are considerations to turn Ghezala Center into an intermediary health center to ease the pressure on the local hospital, all in an effort to improve services and bring them closer to the citizens.
