Jendouba Bridge 13 to Connect Rural Areas

Preparations are ongoing to build a bridge over Wadi Abdul Jabar in the Bulta Bouaouan district of Jendouba. This is a voluntary initiative led by activist Karim Arefa, in coordination with the local council, with the goal of alleviating the isolation of rural areas. Construction is expected to begin next week after all necessary materials are secured, following approval and cooperation from regional authorities whom Arefa met in April 2026. The Abdul Jabar Bridge is the 13th project in his efforts to improve mobility and connect rural regions. It will be the first bridge designed for vehicle passage, as part of a project that also includes the construction of two additional bridges.
