Tunisia's Olive Oil Sector Vision for 2050

Tunisia is working on establishing a long-term vision until 2050 for the development of the olive oil sector, aimed at boosting its contribution to economic growth, food security, and export development. The plan focuses on climate change resilience, product quality improvement, and increased value addition. During the 2025/2026 season, olive oil production rose to approximately 500,000 tons, a 47% increase over the previous season. Exports also increased by 50.8%, reaching around 381,000 tons, including 53,000 tons of organic olive oil.
