Legislative Framework for Municipal Elections Completed

On September 30, 2026, President Kais Saïed issued Decree No. 4, which defines the regulatory framework for municipal councils in Tunisia. It covers their composition, responsibilities, and their contribution to development and economic and social integration in accordance with government policies.
