Kasserine/Tala council demands permanent delegate
The Local Development Council in Talaa decided to boycott the city's acting commissioner until a permanent commissioner is appointed, as a protest against the mayor and three deputies being prevented from attending a disaster response session, which was described as an insulting act. The council called for the appointment of a permanent commissioner, the resolution of suspended projects—most notably the resumption of work on the regional hospital and improvements to water, electricity, and infrastructure services—and also emphasized supporting farmers and school transportation. Additionally, the council held the local Disaster Response Committee responsible for lack of coordination, and stressed the importance of citizens contacting committee members during emergencies.
