Youssef Belaili Faces New FIFA Sanction

Youssef El Belaili is once again facing a suspension from FIFA after appealing the decision to suspend him for one year, issued in March 2026. The suspension is related to financial disputes with the French club Ajaccio, involving an amount of 380,000 euros, along with accusations of document forgery. A new hearing is scheduled at the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne, Switzerland, on November 10, 2026, to review the case, which could lead to the suspension being either overturned or upheld. So far, the ban has been temporarily lifted, allowing Belaili to resume playing with Espérance Tunis, but the final decision depends on the outcome of the court session.
