Tunisian Researchers Among Global Top Forty in Geosciences

An international ranking has been published, featuring more than 40 researchers in geological and geophysical studies worldwide for the period 2021-2025. Professor Younes Hamed from the Faculty of Sciences in Gafsa topped both the national and global rankings. Meanwhile, Professor Hakim Qabbtni from the Water Research and T echnologies Center ranked 38th globally, and Professor Mohamed El-Sousi from the Faculty of Sciences in Tunis ranked 39th worldwide. This ranking reflects the contributions of Tunisian researchers to the advancement of scientific research, particularly in the field of groundwater resources, and underscores the support of Tunisian academic institutions for scientific research, enhancing their international standing.
