Washington plans four refuelers for Arab nation

The U.S. Air Force is in the process of refurbishing four KC-10 Extender aerial refueling aircraft, which are currently out of service, with the intention of delivering them to a partner country in North Africa. The operation includes aircraft refurbishment, flight inspections, air transport, as well as logistical support and training spanning a period of three to five years. The beneficiary country's name has not been specified; however, Egypt is considered a likely candidate given its military relations with the United States, though this has not been officially confirmed. This measure is part of the "Excess Defense Equipment" program, aimed at assessing capable companies to execute the process, without any immediate commitment to a contract or deal.
