Sebtalla Launches Eye Screening for Students

The School and University Medicine Department at the Regional Health Directorate in Kasserine organized, in collaboration with the Regional Hospital in Sbeitla, a health caravan on the occasion of World Sight Day. The initiative targeted students from local educational institutions. Eye examinations were provided to approximately 69 students, with the goal of early detection of nearsightedness and timely intervention. Visual disorders can impact educational performance and children’s development, especially given the economic and social conditions that exacerbate eye problems. The initiative focuses on promoting eye health and preventing the negative effects of visual issues on academic achievement and overall well-being of young people.
