Salma Blair detained after airport altercation

New York authorities successfully arrested actress Salma Blair (54 years old) after she caused injuries to two flight attendants during a flight from Los Angeles to New York, as well as kicking a police officer and a nurse after reaching the hospital. Blair faces two charges of assault under state laws, along with federal accusations. The airline stated that the incident resulted from a medical emergency she experienced due to multiple sclerosis and her medication. Her attorney confirmed that her actions were not intentional and that her health condition, which worsened after she hit her head during the flight, led to her losing the ability to determine directions. The court set her bail at $20,000, and a hearing for her appeal is scheduled for next January.
