State reduces public company debts to pensions
The article relates to Tunisia's 2027 budget plan, which stipulates the settlement of state-owned enterprises' debts to the National Pension and Social Security Fund by canceling penalties for oversight and delays on tax liabilities accumulated until the end of 2026. The plan also includes the government replacing certain major companies—such as the International Land Office and transportation companies—in their debts owed to the fund, without imposing any new tax burdens on these companies under the current legislation. The aim is to regularize the fund's situation and achieve financial balance.
