Fifth National Tunisian Book Fair with 66 Publishers

The article discusses the activities of the fifth edition of the Tunisian National Book Fair, scheduled from October 23 to November 1, 2026, after a hiatus of more than two years. Sixty-six Tunisian publishers will participate in the event on a larger space than before, including indoor and outdoor areas, with a dedicated corner for books aimed at children and young adults. This fair is an opportunity to enhance the connection between Tunisian authors and readers and aims to establish it as a permanent annual event. Prizes worth 10,000 Tunisian dinars will be awarded in each category, which includes poetry, novels, short stories, and intellectual or pedagogical studies aimed at children. This initiative comes within a budget of approximately 570,000 dinars, financed by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, and seeks to support publishing and encourage reading in Tunisia.
