Tunisian Doctor Warns Against Fake Meds Using His Image

Tunisian cardiologist Daher Lahyebd warned against the misuse of his image in advertisements promoting counterfeit products for erectile dysfunction treatment. He emphasized that he is not connected to these ads and has not endorsed them. He pointed out that such practices are recurring despite his complaints and warnings. Some companies are using artificial intelligence techniques to create fake video clips that depict doctors dishonestly to promote unreliable products, reflecting the danger of electronic fraud and the exploitation of the trust that doctors grant to the public. This phenomenon is escalating internationally; for example, the image of French doctor Didier Raoult has been similarly exploited. Such practices threaten consumer health, leading to the purchase of untrustworthy medicines and supplements without medical consultation, with warnings about the high health risks associated with products sold via social media platforms.
