Revolutionary Guard Warns Against Gulf Cables

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard issued an indirect threat to strike the main internet cables passing through the Strait of Hormuz, pointing out that seven major cables are relied upon for global data traffic, commercial communications, and the internet. This comes as part of Iran's efforts to reinforce its sovereignty over its waters, while raising legal and technical questions about the legitimacy of imposing its sovereignty over cables passing through this vital strait.
