The initiatives outlined in the 2027 Economic Balance Project focused on promoting decent work and improving social protection in Tunisia. Around 13,550 workers were directly integrated, and 86,431 fixed-term employment contracts were converted to indefinite contracts in line with labor contract regulation laws and measures to prevent subcontracting. Additionally, the social security benefit was increased to 280 dinars per month, with enhanced targeting of eligible groups through a new protocol. Measures also included support for over 137,000 children under the age of six and 463,000 children aged 6 to 18, as well as empowering approximately 637,000 students and 17,000 pupils with educational grants to improve access to education. A budget of 6 million dinars was allocated to support the integration of persons with disabilities, including the creation of a dedicated fund and development of a digital platform to facilitate access to disability cards. In the field of social protection, the government assisted 2,290 workers who lost their jobs, and social coverage was expanded to approximately 82%. Efforts were also made to develop a national migration information system and facilitate legal mobility for Tunisian workers through programs supporting regular and circular migration, providing legal work contracts to about 500 beneficiaries, and enabling the transfer of roughly 2,500 workers to France. Furthermore, around 2,000 young people in the construction and public works sectors were trained to promote economic inclusion.
