Gabes activists get six months suspended
The court in Gabès issued a six-month suspended prison sentence against several environmental activists, due to their participation in a peaceful sit-in demanding the dismantling of the polluting units of the chemical complex in the area. This action was in response to a complaint filed by the chemical complex in 2020, while the activists aimed to defend the residents' right to health and to live in a clean environment.
