Model digital textile plant inauguration

Tunisia witnessed the inauguration of a model digital textile production unit at the Technology Resources Center in Monastir, aimed at enhancing the capabilities of Tunisian industrial enterprises and improving their productivity through modern utilization of digital technology. This initiative is part of the Tunisian-Japanese cooperation, supported by the Japan International Cooperation Agency, and focuses on implementing the "Digital Kaizen" approach for real-time monitoring of production lines and quality. The project seeks to strengthen the capacities of small and medium enterprises and increase their competitiveness, at a time when the textile and apparel sector remains one of Tunisia's largest export sectors, with exports reaching nearly 9 billion dinars in 2025. The sector comprises over 1,400 companies providing approximately 146,000 jobs.
