The State Budget Project for 2027 provides details on rental expenses, estimated at 27.3 billion dinars, representing an increase of 8.2% compared to 2026. These funds are allocated to support operations and ensure decent employment through assignments and regularizations of irregular statuses, as well as to cover wage increases in the public sector between 2026 and 2028. 39.7% of the budget expenditures are allocated to the wage bill, amounting to 13.7% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The distribution is focused primarily on the education sector, which accounts for 30%, followed by internal affairs, defense, and health. The plan includes the creation of over 32,000 new jobs, with the largest share allocated to education and higher education (22.7%). It also involves regularizing the status of tens of thousands of employees, while the wage-to-GDP ratio continues to decline, reaching approximately 13.7% in 2027.
