Global aluminum output falls 1.5% in June

Global aluminum production in June decreased by 1.5%, reaching 5.98 million tons, due to a one-third decline in output from the Gulf region following Iranian attacks on two local smelters in late March. These attacks led to shipment halts and a decrease in Gulf production to 332,000 tons, compared to 507,000 tons a year earlier. Worldwide, daily production experienced a slight increase of 0.3% compared to May, reaching approximately 199,300 tons.
