Vietnamese ship rescue in South China Sea

A total of 39 people out of 62 from the Vietnamese vessel "Kahoi Nguyen 18" have been rescued after it sank in the South China Sea near the Nansha Islands. The rescue efforts involved six ships and a helicopter from China, as well as a Vietnamese vessel. Additionally, two more individuals were rescued by helicopter in a process that took place after a distress signal was identified. Search and rescue operations are still ongoing at the site. The ship was registered in Vietnam, measuring 69.9 meters in length with a cargo capacity of approximately 999 tons. Rescue operations continue in order to recover all the survivors.
