Omani climber Nadria Al-Harthi has passed away. She was the first Omani woman to reach the summit of Mount Everest. Her team was struck by an avalanche on Broad Peak in the Karakoram mountain range in northern Pakistan. Her body and that of her Nepali companion, Bor Bahadur, were found after rescue operations on July 30. The rescue team continues searching for the remaining missing persons.
