Syrian envoy submits Arab League credentials

Ambassador Yahya Diab, the Permanent Representative of the Syrian Arab Republic to the Arab League, handed over a copy of his credentials to Secretary-General Nabil Elaraby to strengthen cooperation and coordination between Syria and the League. This step comes after the Arab League’s decision in 2023 to restore Syria's membership following more than a decade of suspension since November 2011. The interim President, Ahmad Shara, described Syria's relations with Egypt as a duty and called on Egyptian companies to contribute to the country's reconstruction.
