Transfers Renaissance de Berkane signs Abdul Ghafoor Lamirat

The Moroccan Renaissance Sportive de Berkane officially announced its signing of Wydad Athletic midfielder Abdel Ghofour Lamirates for three seasons until 2029, in order to strengthen its squad in preparation for the CAF Champions League and domestic matches. The transfer fee for the 28-year-old, born in Safi, amounted to approximately 800,000 cents (8 million Moroccan cents), following his failure to establish himself within Wydad and his absence from the preparations for the new season. Lamirates, who began his career with Ittihad J genannt Jninej, then played for Olympique Safi and won the Moroccan Throne Cup with them in 2024, was a candidate to join Raja Casablanca but chose Wydad. He was also previously called up for the Moroccan local team. This signing comes as part of Renaissance Berkane's efforts to bolster the team’s composition in preparation for competing for titles, with coach Pedro Briteo working to develop performance.
