Philippines reports 19 fatalities from heavy rains

The Philippines recorded 19 deaths and 15 others injured as a result of heavy rains caused by the tropical storms Louis and Maira, along with the southwest monsoon, with 4 people reported missing. Landslides were the main cause of the human losses, with Benguet Province recording 12 deaths, followed by Rizal with 4 deaths and Batanes with 3 deaths. Approximately 2.27 million people across 11 regions were affected. Over 900 evacuation centers have been set up to serve around 95,000 individuals. The government has provided aid valued at more than 73 million pesos (approximately 1.2 million dollars).
