DJI Appreciates U.S. Court Ruling Reevaluating its Military Status

Chinese drone manufacturer DJI has welcomed the decision of the U.S. Court of Appeals on Monday to reconsider its classification as a "military company." The U.S. Department of Defense had blacklisted the company in 2022, alleging its supposed links to the Chinese military. However, the court ruled that the evidence used was insufficient and deemed it incorrect, effectively resetting the company's case to its initial stage. DJI is considered one of the largest global companies in the drone industry, holding more than half of the civil drone market in the United States. Its products contributed $515 million to the American agricultural sector in 2023.
