Kareem Murad's brother, Mark, developed an AI-powered app called "Scrib Me" to assist the visually impaired, including its specialized use. The app allows blind users to recognize their surroundings, such as finding classrooms and stores, using their phone cameras or Meta Smart glasses instead of a cane. It operates in more than 20 languages. The app successfully restored Kareen's seemingly lost sight during a safari trip in Kenya, where she felt as if she were seeing for the first time. Thousands of people in 140 countries now use it, with both free services and paid subscriptions available.
