Qatari PM Discusses Strait Talks with Oman

The Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, discussed the latest developments in the Gulf region with both Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and Omani Foreign Minister Badr Bousaid. The discussions focused particularly on the Hormuz Strait. An agreement was reached to establish a temporary joint maritime passage through the strait, in addition to implementing a project to clear it of mines, with Qatar supporting diplomatic efforts to ensure freedom of navigation and lasting peace in the region. Sheikh Mohammed also reaffirmed Qatar’s support for Oman's endeavors to achieve stability and reduce regional escalation.
