China establishes around 200 AI standards

China has announced that it has established approximately 200 key standards to regulate the artificial intelligence sector, aiming to guide its development in a sound and organized manner. The Deputy Minister of Industry and Information Technology indicated that AI has become an integral part of all stages of the industrial chain, including research, development, production, quality, and services. Several cities are also working on implementing practices for reviewing AI ethics. During the 2026-2030 Five-Year Plan, China plans to enhance the development of sixth-generation technologies, conduct experiments with them, and expand their applications to promote the growth and maturity of its commercial ecosystem.
