Iraq Confiscates 7 Billion Dinars in Corruption

Large sums of money, real estate, and cars linked to the office manager of the Iraqi Minister of Oil have been seized during investigations into financial corruption cases involving 12 deputies, ministers, and ministers' deputies. More than 1.3 trillion Iraqi dinars, some US dollars, and numerous valuable assets have been recovered. The Iraqi judiciary has also issued prison sentences of up to 7 years for some of the accused on charges of corruption.
