A prominent Egyptian artist stated that art is an important bridge connecting Egyptian and Chinese civilizations, considering that the rich heritage of both countries forms a foundation for enhancing mutual understanding and strengthening communication between their peoples. Artist Ahmed Nawar, a professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Helwan University, pointed out that his experience traveling to China in 2013— which lasted three weeks and included painting as well as visits to Beijing, Shanghai, and Xi'an— left a profound impact on his artistic work. Nawar drew inspiration from ancient architecture, traditional markets, and everyday life in China, producing more than 30 paintings depicting landscapes, markets, and local life, which were exhibited in Egyptian galleries. He emphasized that interaction with Chinese culture enhanced his ability to convey the beauty of Chinese heritage to his audience. He viewed artistic collaboration between the two countries as a means to bring peoples closer and deepen cultural understanding, believing that artistic creativity reflects the value of communication between civilizations.
