Chinese railway records 954 million summer trips

The China Railway Group reported that the railway network handled approximately 954 million passenger trips during the 2026 summer travel season, which lasted 62 days. From the beginning of July to the end of August, the network transported 680 million tons of cargo, with an average of about 11,623 passenger trains operated daily.
