Nepali Army Reports Friday Rescues

The Nepali army announced the rescue of 58 people on Friday with the help of seven military aircraft and six civilian planes, after they spent more than a week trapped in a tunnel at the "Trishuli-3A" hydroelectric station. Two men were miraculously rescued and transported to the hospital. A corpse has also been recovered from the site, and search efforts are ongoing for others, as rescue teams advance inside the tunnels, removing debris and silt. The army continues assessment and rescue operations at other locations, working to clear approximately 700 meters of tunnel passages. They are using boats and rafts to pump out water, in addition to deploying engineering teams to construct a bridge over the Tadi River. These efforts are part of broad initiatives by military forces to provide aid and restore stability following the floods.
