Death sentence for Sarah Khalifa and others

The Cairo Criminal Court concluded its session today, Saturday, on the "Major Drugs" case by sentencing producer Sara Khalifa and 12 other defendants to death. They were convicted of forming an organized criminal group for the purposes of smuggling, manufacturing, and promoting narcotic substances. Investigations revealed that the organization operates internationally, providing, storing, and transporting raw materials. More than 750 kilograms of drugs and related raw materials were seized in the operation. The prosecution based its case on multiple pieces of evidence, including testimonies from 20 witnesses, conversations, photographs, videos, as well as financial and legal procedures. Additionally, the wanted defendants have been placed on travel ban lists and in the state of "monitoring arrival."
