China-Saudi Geological Mapping Results

The Saudi Geological Survey announced the release of the first results of a detailed mapping of 24 geological maps at a scale of 1:100,000 for the Arabian Shield region, as part of geological cooperation with China. The results illustrate the structural background, the geological evolution history, and the distribution of mineral resources in the area. They include regions containing important minerals such as gold, copper, zinc, chromium, and rare metals, covering a total area of 70,800 square kilometers. The data has been entered into the Saudi National Geological Information Database to support mining and exploration activities, enhance geological capabilities within the Kingdom, and align with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 and the "Belt and Road" Initiative.
