Morocco’s King Names New Prime Minister

King Mohammed VI of Morocco appointed Fatima Zahra Mansouri, Coordinator of the Collective Leadership of the Authenticity and Modernity Party, as the new Prime Minister and tasked her with forming the government. She is the first woman to hold this position in Morocco. This decision came after the Authenticity and Modernity Party topped the results of the parliamentary elections. Previously, she served as Minister of Territorial Development, Housing, and Urban Policy. Mansouri holds a degree in Anglo-Saxon Law from the University of Bayeux, a diploma in Business Contract Law from the University of Montpellier, and a license in Private Law from Mohammed V University in Rabat.
