Syria: Three power plants shut after pipeline blast

The Syrian Electricity Company announced the outage of three power generation stations: Deir Ali, Nasiriya, and Tishreen, due to an explosion on the gas line at Tishreen Station, which caused a continuous fire. This has led to a shortage of gas supplies, a reduction in power generation capacity, and increased electrical rationing hours. The company indicated that the incident temporarily affects the availability of electricity and will provide updates regarding the status of the stations and energy availability. This comes after another explosion on a gas pipeline shortly after the disruption of gas flow from the Jabsa plant, further exacerbating the country’s electricity crisis.
