Taiz and Lahj ignite Yemen conflict

Clashes between Yemeni forces and the Houthi group have intensified in Taiz and Lahj, with increased ground, air, and missile operations. This comes simultaneously with the activation of general mobilization and raising military readiness in preparation for a wide-scale battle against the Houthis. Fierce fighting and airstrikes targeted Houthi positions on the frontlines, while the Houthis shelled residential areas. These operations have resulted in the death and injury of approximately 3,000 Houthis over four days. Meanwhile, government forces announced executing more than 800 targeting operations in a single day. This escalation occurs within the context of the army's effort to unify resources and national efforts in readiness for a major confrontation against the Iran-backed group.
